Workshop on Human Rights Education for the youths and women

The IHDP (Intergraded Human Development Program) unit of the HUDEC organized a Workshop on Human Rights Education between the hours of 9.30 a.m and 1.00 p.m at the Ilavalai St. Judes Hall on the 6th July 2010.

The Scope of the workshop largely centered on gaining basic knowledge on the Human Rights and to create awareness to this end.

The IDP (Internal Displaced People) youths and women heads attended this workshop.
The IHDP field officer and HUDECs Human rights Coordinator assisted as Resource person.

The activities centered on:
1. The legal explanation on Human Rights Principles.
2. The group discussion.
3. The people identified ongoing Human Rights Violations.
4. Analyzed the ways and means where people could voice the issues out.
5. Cleared up the concepts of the Human Rights to the trainees, participants and the people.
