HUDEC Caritas Jaffna, as the Social Arm of the Catholic Church of Jaffna, involves in the emergency relief work for the IDP in Jaffna district from 11^th August2006.

Distribution of Supplementary food items to IDP camps in Jaffna.

Caritas Jaffna – HUDEC has been continuously distributing supplementary food items to the war-affected people of Vanni at IDP camps in Jaffna from 11^th February 2009. There are 11,130 IDPs at 12 welfare camps in Jaffna peninsula. An amount of 11.4 million has been spent for supplementary food without incorporating any other expenses. The expenditure period covers from 11^th February to 31^st May 2009.
