CARITAS HUDEC-JAFFNA HAS DONATED MATERIALS OF RS.700,000 WORTH TO THE NUFFIELD SCHOOL, KAITHADY.
Through the Tsunami livelihood project, computer classes and sewing classes are to be conducted in the evenings for the students of Nuffield School in order to develop their extra talents. 2 computer sets and 2 sewing machines needed for this programme were formally handed over on 13.07.2009 to the principal of Nuffield School by Rt.Rev.Dr. Thomas Soundaranayagam, the Bishop of Jaffna.
The event was presided over by Mr.Mahendran, the principal of Nuffield School. The chief guest was Rt.Rev.Dr.Thomas Soundaranayagam, the Bishop of Jaffna. The guests of honor were Fr.C.G.Jeyakumar, the Director of Caritas-HUDEC and Mr.Thavarajakumar, the Project manager of Tsunami livelihood project.
10 goats, 4 cows, 200 chickens and 2 water pumps were also provided by Caritas-HUDEC for the welfare of the students.
