Handing over of Temporary Shelters in the Vadamaradcy East - Vathirayan 

CARITAS – HUDEC Jaffna had built 95 Temporary Shelters to the families affected by the Tsunami, 26th December 2004, and handed over these shelters on the 16th of April 2005.  Six OMI Brothers including three from Bangaladesh and other part of Sri Lanka also gave their support by their volunteer contribution in building these shelters. Rt.Rev.Dr.Thomas Saundranagam Bishop of Jaffna, Rev. Fr.C.G.Jeyakuamr, Director CARITAS – HUDEC Jaffna, CARITAS Staff and beneficiaries of Vathirayan area were present.
